Emma – Emma the Practice Manager, is committed to maintaining and supporting our highly dedicated, motivated team so that we can continue to deliver consistent dental excellence. Emma’s expertise was recognised nationally when, in 2004, she was presented with the award for Practice Manager of the Year by The British Practice Managers’ Association. Again, in 2006, she was awarded Practice Manager of the Year, this time from The Probe National Dental Awards, and as a direct consequence is now lecturing nationally to dental teams on management issues and providing invaluable tuition on how to create the perfect front desk team. Emma is now providing a comprehensive list of courses for dental practice managers and their teams from absolute dental training.
Di – GDC 122350, having been a dental nurse in the local area for ten years, will also be a familiar friendly face to many of you. Diane is Rhodri’s implant care nurse, and is always keen to keep up to date with her knowledge and practical skills. When she is not assisting in treatment rooms, Diane might often be your first contact at the practice either on the front desk or as a member of our team of treatment coordinators. Diane is also the practice Clinical Lead Nurse ensuring that all current cross infection methods are in place providing first class protection to patients and staff. Having developed a passion to mentor other student dental nurses to provide not only first class chairside assistance, but also dental nurses that offer exceptional all round patient care, Diane has developed and delivers a very successful course for student dental nurses as part of absolute dental training and also provides in-house training to student dental nurses at Absolute Dental.
Melanie – GDC 242807 Melanie lives in Kingsbridge with her husband and 2 sons and has spent 10 years in the care sector before joining us. Since qualifying with her National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2012, Melanie is enjoying working with our Specialist, Mr Beare, as his care nurse and developing her skills in many key areas of specialist dentistry.
Gemma – Gemma and her family are local to Kingsbridge and Salcombe and I’m sure many of you will recognise her. Having come to us following a career as a support worker, Gemma balances work, a young son, her dental nurse studies and also manages to find time to do numerous fund raising tasks for charities close to her and her family’s hearts.
Kirsty – Kirsty has been in and around Absolute and the team for many years as a patient and was always impressed by the treatment and care, so much so she recently applied to join us and has subsequently joined the nursing team. Kirsty is a local lady, keen on the outdoors and all that the South Hams has to offer. She is very enthusiastic about all we do and offer and has already made a really positive impression on the team and many of the patients.
Ellie – Ellie joined us in the Summer of 2016 having written to us whilst studying at 6th form. In her letter she explained she wanted a career in dentistry, she also managed to convey the type of enthusiasm and commitment we are always looking for. Although at the time we did not need an additional member we felt we should not let her slip through our fingers. So here she is studying hard to become a qualified registered dental nurse. Welcome on board Ellie.
Helen – Helen came to us in early 2016 and has impressed us all with her efficiency and attention to detail. Having come to us from a non-clinical background we have all been really pleased with how Helen has just taken everything in her stride – a quality acquired being the mother of two young boys, no doubt! Helen is also studying with us for her Diploma in Dental Nursing. A real asset to the team.
We are very proud of our attentive, professional team – and as a direct consequence – the high standards of care we are able to deliver.
