Bill qualified at Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1974 and after house jobs stayed on as lecturer in removable prosthodontics until 1982 whilst also working in General Practice in London and Maidenhead. Bill spent 1978 in Nigeria as a visiting Professor of Dentistry. From 1982-1986 he then worked in General Practice in Kingsbridge and between 1986-1989 worked for the British Army in Germany and also in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1987. Following this he studied for an MSc in Periodontology at The Eastman Dental Institute and in 1993 became a specialist registrar in Restorative dentistry at Guy’s hospital and the Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
Accredited as a Specialist in Restorative Dentistry in 1996, Bill became the first Consultant to the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. After retiring from the forces in 2009 he then moved into private dentistry and has become widely experienced and respected in all aspects of restorative dentistry including implantology, fixed and removable prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthodontics, periodontology and aesthetic dentistry.
In addition to his dentistry work Bill has always been involved in teaching dentistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has lectured all over the UK, USA, Malaysia and Nigeria and is an implant mentor for Nobel Biocare, global leader in the dynamic and promising restorative and aesthetic dental industry. Bill is highly respected in this field, and is currently involved in teaching Implantology, Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry at Bristol and Plymouth.
Any of the afore mentioned specialist treatments can be carried out by Bill with the reassurance that once a treatment is complete, future regular care can be continued by the referring dentist or hygienist.
