World Book Day 2017
If you spot an Oompa Loompa or The White Witch walking towards you today, don’t panic! You are not seeing things.
It’s World Book Day! Many school children will be dressing up as their favourite story characters to celebrate the occasion.
World Book Day provides every school child a voucher for £1. They can then exchange this for a super free book, or they can choose to have £1 off any book of their choice!
We here at Absolute think World Book Day is brilliant. Every child should be given the chance to enjoy reading. Plus, a book is a fabulous treat to reward children with, rather than sweets, all year round!
Reading is a great way to spark children’s imaginations and can improve spelling & vocabulary. It’s a lifelong skill that brings enjoyment way beyond childhood.
