All of our dental team are trained to screen for mouth cancer and do so at every dental visit you attend.
It is vitally important to detect cancer early, and that’s why we recommend seeing our dentist, therapist and hygienists at regular intervals. We believe that as Dental Professionals, we play a vital role in the detection of oral cancer, and we are committed to providing clinical excellence through regular screening.
Signs of mouth cancer:
- Painless red or white lesion.
- Lump in any part of the mouth, tongue or lips.
- Mouth sores that bleed or won’t heal.
- Difficulties swallowing or speaking.
Tobacco use increases your risk of cancer, and all of our dental professionals can provide you with smoking cessation advice in a non-judgemental environment and discuss with you the effects on your oral health.Back to General Dentistry
